Alij has more than 18 years of hydraulics experience in the offshore and maritime industry, from mechanic and service engineer to test lead for robotic drill-floor systems. He has been responsible for hydraulic equipment across seismic fleets, led commissioning and troubleshooting on rigs and in shipyards, and helped establish an HPF-approved CETOP II programme in southern Norway, where he developed the curriculum and taught.
